Terms of Service for Aptis Trainer

Aptis Trainer ("the app") is built and operated by Phuc Nguyen. By downloading, accessing, or using the app — on mobile or on the web at aptistrainer.net — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

Not affiliated with the British Council. Aptis Trainer is an independent study tool. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or connected to the British Council or any official Aptis examination body. "Aptis" is used only to describe the exam this app helps you prepare for. Practice questions in the app are original material written for practice; they are not real exam papers.

The Service

The app provides practice material for the Aptis General exam — Grammar, Vocabulary, Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing — together with mock tests, AI-generated explanations, and AI-based scoring for Speaking and Writing.

The app is offered on a freemium basis: a portion of the content and features is free, while certain features require a paid purchase. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

Your Account

You may sign in with Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure.
One account is for one person. Sharing an account with others, or reselling access, is not permitted.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Purchases and Credits

Paid features are sold through Google Play In-App Purchases and Apple In-App Purchases. All payments are processed by those stores, not by us.
Some features are consumed using credits. Credits are used within the app only, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or withdrawn.
Refunds are handled under the policy of the store you purchased from (Google Play or Apple). If a purchase is refunded, any credits granted by that purchase may be removed from your account.

AI Scoring and Explanations

Speaking and Writing submissions are graded by an automated AI service, and explanations for Reading and Listening are AI-generated.

AI results are an estimate for practice purposes only. They are not an official score, not a prediction of your real exam result, and carry no standing with any examination body. Automated grading can be wrong or inconsistent.

Acceptable Use

When using the app, you agree not to:

Copy, scrape, record, redistribute, or resell the practice content, in whole or in part.
Use automated tools to extract content or to place load on our services.
Attempt to bypass paid access, interfere with the app's security, or reverse engineer it.
Submit unlawful, abusive, or infringing content to the AI scoring features.

Intellectual Property

All practice questions, explanations, audio, images, design, and software in the app belong to Phuc Nguyen and are protected by copyright. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the app for your own study. Nothing here transfers ownership to you.

Content you submit (your written answers and audio recordings) remains yours. You grant us the limited right to process it in order to provide grading and feedback.

Service Availability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we may suspend or discontinue any part of it. Some features require an internet connection and depend on third-party services.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including exam results, missed opportunities, or lost data. Your study outcome depends on many factors outside our control.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to an account that breaches these Terms — for example account sharing or scraping content. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
