Phuc Nguyen built the Aptis Trainer app as a Freemium app. This SERVICE is provided by Phuc Nguyen at no cost and is intended for use as is.
Information Collection and Use
To provide and improve our Service, the app may collect the following information:
- Account Information: When you sign in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo (if available) to create and manage your account. This data is stored securely on Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore.
- Usage Data: We collect app interaction data through Google Analytics for Firebase to improve user experience.
- Device Information: We collect device identifiers (Firebase Cloud Messaging token, Firebase Installation ID) to send push notifications.
- Purchase Information: We collect in-app purchase history (via Google Play or Apple App Store) to manage your premium subscription status.

AI-Powered Scoring Service
When you use the Writing or Speaking scoring feature, your submitted content (written text or audio recording) is sent to a third-party AI service for automated grading and feedback. The app will ask for your explicit consent before sending any data to this service for the first time.
- Data sent: Your written answers or audio recordings for the specific exercise being scored.
- Purpose: Automated grading, scoring, and feedback generation.
- Data retention by third party: The AI service processes the data in real-time and does not store your submissions permanently.
- Third-party service: Google Gemini API (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
Data Security
Your data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We use Firebase App Check to protect our backend services from abuse.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account directly within the app. When you delete your account, all associated data (account information, purchase history, learning progress) will be permanently removed from our servers and local storage.
Log Data
When you use our Service, in case of an error, the app may collect data and information on your device called Log Data, which may include your device name, operating system version, app configuration, and the time and date of your use of the Service.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is removed immediately.
